When black Harlem funk met Manhattan mambo and cha cha in famous New York 60s ballrooms like the Palm Gardens, only one thing could happen - and happen it did: enter Latin Funk, a gloriously impure stew of r&b, P-funk, salsa, rock, psychedelic and Afro-Cuban jazz that kept the hydrants open, the beer pull-rings popping, and the whole neighborhood dancing as one throughout the 60s and 70s, and onwards.'

The best tune on this album was written by Danny Ramierz and Ray Olan, El Poeta...Ray Olan.This is a different trip for as Carlos Santana visited New York in the early 70's , he made a trip to Brooklyn and was exposed to the styles of the younger Puerto Rican musicians like Danny Ramierez, Orchestra DJ and Ray Olan...Latin Times
